KAPI was involved in the discussions to zero rate medicines in the VAT Bill 2015 and successfully lobbied through parliament Health committee to have medicines zero rated for VAT, a huge victory for patients in Kenya. Ongoing work to have the same VAT removed for Medical devices as well.
